What are the benefits of being a USFSA member?
Members of Freedom Figure Skating Club are full-fledged members of U.S. Figure Skating
Members of U.S. Figure Skating have the ability to do the following:
Test at U.S. Figure Skating-sponsored test sessions
Compete at U.S. Figure Skating-sanctioned events
Participate in U.S. Figure Skating qualifying events
Represent your club at regional, sectional and national events
Participate in all sanctioned events events
Members of U.S. Figure Skating also receive the following benefits:
Certificates of accomplishment for passing proficiency tests and placing at U.S. Figure Skating qualifying events (athletes)
Subscription to SKATING magazine
Individually numbered membership card
Coverage under U.S. Figure Skating’s sports accident insurance policy

Of course, being a member of U.S. Figure Skating also means you have the opportunity to become a member of the U.S. World or Olympic Figure Skating Team!
What are the benefits of being a member of Freedom Figure Skating Club?
Members of Freedom Figure Skating Club have the following additional benefits
Eligibility to participate in U.S. Figure Skating-sponsored test sessions hosted by FFSC (without guest fee)
- Priority eligibility to skating on FFSC “Club Freestyle Ice”
Eligibility to perform in the annual U.S. Figure Skating-sanctioned Ice Show hosted by FFSC
Eligibility to perform in FFSC exhibitions
Invitation to attend club socials, club ice, and fundraising events
Badge Awards for passing proficiency tests as a FFSC member at any test session
Ability to purchase jackets and club ice wear with logo embroidered
Regular updates of upcoming competitions, performances, and events within FFSC as well as neighboring organizations
Potential for scholarship to cover entry fees of a FFSC skater who enters a qualifying competition (To be awarded/denied after review by FFSC Board)
- Potential College scholarship (will be implemented in 2019)
Membership must be renewed by July 1st each year to avoid a late fee!
|Full Membership (under 18) – this membership is for skaters under the age of 18 and their parent/guardian (two memberships).||$115|
|Full Memberships (over 18) – this membership is for individual skaters and non-skaters who wish to support the club who are over the age of 18.||$90|
|Additional Family Member (parents or siblings) – this membership is for family members of a primary club member. These members can be either skating or non-skating.||$40
|Introductory Membership (under 18) – this membership is available to skaters under the age of 18 and their parent/guardian for one year only, to first time USFS members (two memberships).||$75
|Introductory Membership (over 18) – this membership is available to skaters over the age of 18 that have never been members of USFSA.||$40|
|Second club – membership benefits are restricted to discount testing fee and eligibility to skate on FFSC sponsored ice.||$90|
|Collegiate Package – this membership is available to college students. Students must show ID and proof of enrollment (report card, class schedule, etc). This package includes 4 years of membership.||$80|
|Board Members – This membership is for board members that are not already members as the parent of a skater.||$25|
|In-House Coach Membership – Membership for FFSC coaches.||$60|
|Regular Coach Membership – Membership for coaches.||$80|

Jr Board Members
The Jr Board is responsible for organizing activities and events, volunteer in club functions, organize fundraisers, and provide service to the FFSC community.
Most importantly, Jr Board members are responsible for making skaters of all ages feel welcomed and included!
